Happy Anniversary to Us

Thirty-one years ago today we started our life together. What a wonderful time it has been. We have had so many joyous occasions and so many trials that have brought us closer together. We have learned to lean on each other for strength and found comfort from each other. We have laughed together and cried together. We are each other's best friend.

I am so lucky to have such a wonderful husband. He helps me in ways I know other husbands don't do for their wife. Garth washes clothes and dishes, mows the lawn and vacumns the floor. He is the one to mop the kitchen floor and clean the bathroom. (Yes, just one bathroom in our house.) He works two jobs because he can't sit still. The old farmer in him must keep busy.

We started out our life together after a two month courtship. Just two months from our first meeting to our wedding day. I would never advise that for anyone but us. Since we had written to each other for close to two years, we knew we had very deep feelings for each other. It just seemed so natural and it still does. I can't imagine being with anyone else. He reads my thoughts and knows what I am thinking even before I do, sometimes.

I just want to publicly tell him I love him and I am so happy he choose me to share his life. He is the best father and most wonderful grandfather. Nothing humbles him more than hearing from his children and especially his grandchildren. He worries about them and loves to be with them. He is a great man who honors his priesthood and would do anything to help his children.

Thanks, dear, for making my life so wonderful! I love you!

I hope you guys get to do something fun today, like go to Price :) Garth sounds like another husband I know that cooks, cleans, washes and also can't sit still. Thanks for all you do for us.

Or you could go to Scotts. You never know what kind of service you get there.

Yep, we went to Scott's and we didn't pay. Jessica said she would pick up the bill! And Barrett takes after his dad all right. He learned from a great example. Now, what did you girls learn from your mom? Crying!!!! Admit it!

Um Jessica picked up the bill? um right! Tell the truth mom. ;) I am glad you had it all to yourself

OK, the truth is, Nancy called Mindy and paid for our dinner at "the resturant" for our anniversary. Jessica literally picked up the bill and took it home to her mother. We had a Reeder Canyon Burger and regular fries with lemonade. The burgers are huge with tons of thick wonderful fries. It was peaceful and quiet and very nice. So thank you, Nancy! And Jessica for the great service. (Since she didn't bring the bill I hope she didn't give herself an outrageous tip!)

Hey Lori I found you and thought that I would leave you a short message. I do love reading all the blogs but posting is another story. I had forgot that you were married a day before my birthday. I will try and remember that from now on. Happy Anniversary. I have decided that we are getting old. I even told Dixie that the other day. I also love The Great and Terrible Series. I was a little bit disappointed in the fifth book
though. I wonder how many more books are to come. It is so close to reality that it is scary. I just keep telling Cyrena that she needs to get out of Illinois. Keep in touch.
