Last weekend we had a much needed retreat. Garth and I went to the mountains and just relaxed. We hurried up with our trailer as soon as we both got home after work. It was around 7:30 so we decided to just go to the marina for supper before we went to the campground. We had a nice meal in the company of Shaun and Ima Jean Tomsick and Joe and his wife with their new baby. Also Grandpa and Grandma Andersen (Mindy's parents), and Brad and Jenny were there for a few minutes. After feasting on a delicious Reeder Burger we headed to the campground where we found one of our favorite spots, #19, still open. We backed in and set up the trailer, then built a fire and just enjoyed watching the stars come out. It was a very warm night, so warm it was hard to sleep without a breeze coming in the windows. We didn't have the generator with us for the AC, so we kept the windows open. We woke up early as usual, fixed a great breakfast then headed out to see what was going on in the world. When we got to the marina Scott insisted Garth try out the wave runner. As for me, I stayed on dry land. Garth said the water was fine, but he isn't ready to buy one of his own.
After reporting where we thought we would head, we took off. Here is a picture where we went. OKay, all you Emery-ites. First one to guess where it is gets a prize. What is the prize? I don't know, but you have the pleasure of knowing you know your Emery County geography. We went to two different lakes in one day. Both lakes Dad put his fishing pole in, but he only caught fish at one of them. Can you tell where he is? In all, it was a nice weekend.
Here is Dad on the waverunner

Is it Grassy? I know the last one with the fish is Pete's Hole.
I was gonna say grassy or wrigleys, but possibly if it was far away mary's. Did you put the pole "in" or just cast the line out :)
I prefer to throw the WHOLE POLE in.
too easy- it is mary's lake. Nancy's doesn't count because she just said all of them. I am not sure the picture of dad holding the fish (not enough view). To catch fish a mary's you have to be able to cast right next to the island, or you fish on the south side by the inlet.
CHANTEL cheated. That was NOT her answer.. I spy some hacker in her email that use to eat barbie feet!!
It IS the Barbie feet eater! This is Chantel typing, but Barrett said he just entered a contest on his mom's blog. I am not sure why he was using my name :) He thinks he knows everything!
Can't we all just get along! I think the 1 is Grassy. I'm not sure of the other one. And the cheater not only is the barbie feet eater, he is also the newspaper bag eater and the washcloth flusher!!! and Nancy you DO like to throw the whole pole in. You think THAT is going to get you a fish. Barrett you think getting a little human flesh on the hook will get you a fish at Marys! :)
OK, the answer is....the first picture IS Mary's Lake. It is known as the pole eater, ear hooker lake. The next two are the same place, Pete's Hole. You can see the outlet on the north end. Dad is near the outlet just down from the tree. We parked on the left side of the road near the dam and walked down to the pond.
Mary's Lake was pretty bare that day. I don't where the inlet is, but the Forest Service has been fixing it up due to Grandpa's discussion with them. No where near Wrigley's!
I knew just by the way it was worded that it was Barrett and not Chantel. Not only that, but Barrett lived up there the during the summers, well not really lived but you know what I mean. Barrett knows the mountains just as good as Grandpa does and that is pretty dang good.
